Installed the the new Sims 2 game my system has gforce 4 128mg video ram
sound blaster live sound card. 740 mg ram 1900+xp processor. Graphics works good except for an occasional freezing during some commands. but the sound comes out distorted or shutters. I have turned off the all effects, I have set the EAX to Games no effects and still get the distortion. does any one have a suggestion on what else it could be ???????

Have you got the correct drivers installed for your sound card? You could firstly try reinstalling the drivers or getting the latest driver from http://us.creative.com/support/

This is a new sound card I originally had on board sound card. Which was doing the same thing so I purchased the SoundBlaster Live thinking it would fix the issue. but to no avail. The sound works fine for any other program or music on the PC, and there were no new drivers for the card.
