    Far Cry Black outs!

I recently replaced my Radeon 9600 XT with a Gefore 6600, and tried to play FarCry and for some reason areas on the ground are black. I've reinstalled the game, and I have the latest GPU drivers, it didnt do this with the old card. I lower the specs and it works fine and the auto specs are set to low...this confuses me because with I had my 9600 the auto specs where all on high. I'm not sure whats causing it. Any help would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Dan

2 different cards 2 different specs which mean 2 different auto from the game. what i suggest is download a program called DH Driver Cleaner Pro (Driverheaven.com) and make sure you have removed all ati based drivers... than uninstall the nvidia drivers, reboot, use the DH DCP on the nvidia drivers, reinstall them with the latest certified from nvidia.com and reboot again.. Also make sure your video card fan is not clogged and or is still working.

also follow the isntructions on the DH DCP to get the best results.

Hey SPikedRedBull, I went through each spec in the game and discovered its the shadow option that caused the black outs. I set it to low and its now fine, when it goes higher than medium the problem comes back, do you still think its the same problem you mentioned before? Thanks again for your help.
