I try to download sims 2 on to my computer, a PC game, my computer is completely capable and SHOULD be able to run the game. The first 2 discs work but when I get to the 3rd disc, it gives me an error message saying:

"A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins\globalcatbin.bundle.packa ge' from the media. Do you want to retry, or cancel installation?"

The game is on cd's that you downloaded? Sounds like the 3rd one is corrupt, data is unreadable on it. You could try redownloading it.

I bought the game from a store, I'm trying to install it on to my computer now. I've tried to re-download it 3 times. It works on my parents computer, just not on mine. I'm not sure that there is anything wrong w/the disc itself.

Sounds like your cdrom is having trouble reading it then. Can you explore the cd, look through the files etc on it?

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Put the cd in, double click my computer icon on your desktop then double click the cd drive. This should open up and show you all the files on the cd.
