hey everyone, i just built a new system but unknowingly realized afterwards that my graphics card could not operate in 8x agp mode because of the great via or a8v incompatibility that everyone has. so ive been dealing with 4x and it was working pretty good for a while. my stats are

asus a8v
athlon 64 3000+ 939 venice
dvd burner
2 x 512 ddr3200 corsair value ram
80 gig 7200 sata2 hitachi hd
9800 all in wonder

so anyway, i noticed that counter-strike source had incorrect shadows and black textures. i formatted and it appeared to be fixed so far except for the fact that i get strangely low fps. so i guess i have a set of problems..

so that is what it did, and battlefield 2 demo was going crazy too. it did things like this. bf2 is still doing this stuff. btw i have the 5.7 cats...

ah what the hell is going on? does anyone have these problems? is my graphics card broken? driver issues?! ahhhhh someone give me answers and explanations. okay thanks everyone.
