i have 2 pc's here on my lan.. 1st i find a game on battle.net and join it with both pc's.. them the host starts the game and it starts lagging a lot and no one can play..

Here:Things to consider when using a router to connect to Battle.net on Warcraft III
If you are connecting to Battle.net through a router, you may need to set up port forwarding in order to join or host games correctly. Though we are not able to provide steps for setting up every router on the market, the information below is designed to better explain some common issues related to Battle.net and routers. It is not our intention to try and explain how to setup the network itself and it is assumed that the router has already been configured for normal use and is operational.
Port Forwarding Explanation:
Port Forwarding allows incoming game data (packets) to be forwarded to the computer it is destined for. If forwarding is not used or available on the network, Battle.net will only "see" packets coming from a single IP address and send packets back to that one address. For example, if the default port of 6112 is used for all computers, the router will not know which computer should get the packets from Battle.net and hosting a game will be impossible. By having each computer communicate with a unique port number, Battle.net replies with that information in the packets and the router can easily make sure each computer receives its intended packets.
Warcraft III Hosting Example:
If you have two computers on a network (using a router to connect to Battle.net), go to the Gameplay Options in Warcraft III on computer #1 and set the port to 6112 and on computer #2 set the port to 6113. Next, you would need to set up the router so computer #1's internal IP address is assigned to port 6112 and computer #2's internal IP address is assigned to port 6113. This will ensure that the game data is forwarded to the correct computer hosting the game.

Here:I’m unable to play on a Battle.net server from more than one of my LAN's machines
Page 1 of 1
Unless you have arranged for your internet service provider to provide you with a second IP address, chances are your computers are sharing an internet connection, and thus an internet IP address. Neither Diablo, Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition, nor StarCraft support multiple computers with the same internet IP address connecting to the same game on Battle.net. Battle.net is unable to split the game data between the two computers effectively in these cases. You may be able to contact your internet service provider to get an additional IP address to solve this problem.
If you do have multiple external ip addresses, you may need to configure your router and/or firewall in order to work with Battle.net. We have information for many popular Firewalls, Proxies, and Routers in our Networking Help section. If your Firewall, Proxy, and/or Router are not listed please contact the manufacturer for more information on configuring it to work with Battle.net. The information you may need to provide them is listed here.

That is nonsense! i have had it working before. i now have a belkin router, and can play D2 expansion with multiple computers behind the router in the same game! But I too want too set up starcraft to have mult. computers behind the router to play in the same game. And can't for the life of me figure out how i set it up before. You can do it with one ip. Someone please help register on this forum, and help solve this issue. I'm losing SLEEP.Originally Posted by PedroLuiz

umm been looking in forums and no one seem to have any answers for ISP prob
so i thought about what a friend said he did when foolin around, he connected to his old dial up while on his cable connection and the dial up took over for the internet
I thought that this might have a different ISP thing and might work (although defeating the purposes of cable) and two comps on same router could go on
no clue, dont kill me
