The fuzzy screen sounds like you have Anti-Aliasing or Antistropic filtering turned on. It makes the text go like that but makes graphics appear smoother. Check your ATI control panel and look at the Direct 3D settings. Make sure "Application Preference" is selected and in BF1942 don't put the settings up too high.

Sorry, I should have read your online hardware scan, I did not see you had an S3 chipset.
I don't know that graphics driver but if you right click on your desktop and choose "properties" then hit "advanced" somewhere on there may be a setting related to DirectX performance. If you see anything related ot Anit Aliasing (AA) or Antistropic Filtering (AF) then turn it off or set it to "application preference". Then in game look at the graphics settings and ensure AA is not set to anything.
Finally are you using a TFT flat screen? If so I note that you appear to be running at 800x600 which actually may not be the native resolution of the flat screen. Not running at the native resolution will cause the textto look blurry.
And finally you enjoy the game and gaming in general you will benefit greatly and probably fix this problem by purchasing a new graphics card.

You've got an S3 ProSavageDDR graphics chipset Rigby

When i try to join an internet game it says i have the wrong version. I think i have version 6.1 because when i try to install a patch it says i have version 6.0001 or something.
