i am having porblerms with games keep closing down to the task bar i then have to wait for all my desktop items to come back then hit the taskbar where game is to re open it again.
one of the online ppl i game with said it could be low memory but it never use to happen and i got better ram now then b4 and it was fine on this ram untill about a month ago it started this.

games being used are neocron and sims 2

i got the same problem but with rise of the nations

does anyone know how to slove this problem please help someone it ruins my game it never used to do this

What is your Operating System? If it just started doing this then did you just change anything? New Hardware or Software?

Are you closing all other programs while you run your game?

Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.

nope not hitting win key im starting to wonder if its the card im using (radeon atlantis pro 9800 made by saphire). things ive tried are increasing ram from 512 to 1 gig/ closing evry thing down i dont need ie email/game controllers (thrustmaster)/pest patrol all though im using incredimail wonnder if it could still do it. it started to happen about a year and half ago but it has got worse in that time ive gone to incredimail/swopped to radeon cards but dont have this with any other games i play though like ffxI online .only on neocron / heres some other info u can check while playing fps 50-76 ping 40-60 bw 200-700 freemem 250-550 depending what ur doing and how many ppl are in ur zone but on the hole it runs fine.

another thing i noticed as some ppl i game with reckon its legitemate(excuse the spelling) software refreshing the desktop .one thing i noticed when i was gaming and wanted to check something on our clans website so i alt tab to close game to task bar and went onto site while i was on the desktop was refreshing a hell of lot i could see the refresh line going down the screen like a wave and it was constant.

My games go to the taskbar due to the background services will try to take the focus. I run an ATI 9600 on one machine and now I have an nVidia fX5800. Both machines the game will go to the taskbar when either DUN or my Network Services try to take over. Even AVG will cause this to happen...However, I run Dual monitors and use both as servers (Game is MW4 Mercs) so I assumed that it was this configuration doing it.

erm thats strange i had avg roundabout them time it first started and when i changed to bitdefender it still happend. i could try to close it down and see if it still happens can i assume ill be safe virus wise as im going to a dedicated game server where i just login and play theres no comunity out side of the game its self.

As long as you have a firewall to stop the virus that do port scans you should be moderately safe, I wouldnt do it for very long if you have Email up at the same time.
