I had to get NVIDIA to play counter Strike:Source and now when i go to play Battlefield 1942 the water is green and the apperence of the game is all wavy please help me i have tried to get rid of NVIDIA but it wont leave.SOS

I got the same problem, even after new installation: green water, no text in the menus.
Any suggestions???

i found out that if you dumb down the effects quality it will get rid of the green water. and try a different screen resolution to fix the wavyness of everything if that is a problem

Buahaahaaaa, many thanx to NVIDIA for the latest forceware driver (66.93). It was the cause for all the problems!
After trying a few older ones, I finally endet up with 5.6.7.2, which works perfectly!

Im having problems with battlefield 1942 with an ati radeon 9800xt 256mb graphics card. Its either battlefield has suddenly got worse but it used to play fine about 7months ago. Its dreadful now ive formatted my pc tons of times since then and just reinstalled bf1942 on it. Here are my pc specs below

amd 64 fx 53
1gb ddr corsair twin x ram
256mb ati radeon 9800xt
250gb sata 7200rpm
creative soundblaster augiy 2 zs platnium
windows xp pro sp2

My pc should easily be able to handle this game
Ive updated my drivers and have to say that the 5.1 and 5.2 catalyst series drivers are really rubbish and cause some problems occasionally before. All my other games work it just randomly says that "map not found" on a "stock map" (map that comes with the game). Im not sure what is wrong with it though.

Any help would be much appreciated

I have a similar Problem, no problem running battlefield before, reinstalled and the text has gone. some loads up when you move the cursor over it but other that that its really annoying.
