and posting a message, they will have more expriance with the game and may be able to help more
if not try following these instructions
If you are experiencing problems starting the game, and have a full legitmate copy, try the following and it will help us to resolve the issue.
Firstly, even with a legitimate copy, do NOT run any form of emulator or other software which mimics the disc, only use the original CD. Also its noted on the release version that windowsblinds was causing a conflict (we are investigating why and hopefully will have it resolved by next patch)
If you are doing this follow the steps below:
Right click on the desktop icon (if not got desktop icon, go to install folder and right click on the cm5.exe file)
Select `Launch Analysis`
A self diagnostic system will now run. Follow on screen prompts
A file is created in the root of your C drive (analysislog.sr0). Zip this file up (need to keep integrity of file). If dont have zip program can download for Free from the web, or if got XP can use `send to` command under right mouse menu to send to `compressed folder (zipped)`. I cannot accept files that are not zipped.
Email said zip file (its tiny) to discanalysis@eidos.co.uk - State which version of the game you are running (game name, country of purchase)
Wait for a response from us (we will be as quick as we can analyse the problems)
Hopefully those instructions are clear enough.
It's either insufficient memory or the system is overheating when something like that happens. If it's a laptop your using then there's not really alot you can do about it but if it's a pc, check the temperature of the system and if that's fine you might want to try adding some more memory and see if that helps.
