When I try to set up a program it says make sure you are connected to the internet,then it fails.I am connected cos I can send and receive emails and visit web sites.Can anyone tell me what is the matter with my computer.

Some programs that require Internet connections, such as Norton LiveUpdate, have a separate configuration screen to specify how you will connect to the Internet. Others just use whatever connection they can find.

What program are you having trouble installing?

Do you have a firewall? If so, disable it briefly whilst you need the program to connect to the Internet. Does that help?
