I am running windows98 and I have just brought a new digital camera. When trying to loading the softwear for it,it asked me to insert windows98 second edition disc which I dont have. And I was wondering if there was a way around the problem with out upgrading to second edition. I did find a download to get around the problem but I did not download it at the time. And now I am unable to find it again. So I can anybody help a rather frustrated person.
What brand and model is the camera?
The brand of camera is Goodmans G-shot 3020Z
Do you have a Windows 98 first edition CD? If so, pop that in when it asks for the 98SE disc. It will probably find the correct files.
If not, then see if you have the file that it's looking for in C:\Windows\Options.
I agree with DJ, if you don't have a Windows CD try pointing the installer to c:\windows\options\cabs
Thank you for your help in did manage to install the softwear but when i click on it i get error message saying Required .DLLfile.quartz. DLL. was not found. And when i plugged the camera in and it started adding new hardwear the message please insert second edition disc came up again. Do you have anymore advice for me?
