    Win 98 SE low resources

    Greetings,
    At start up I am at 78% resources.
    I Have deleted all windows/temp files
    also deleted all windows/Temperary internet files deleted
    also recycle bin deleted.
    Checked what is starting up in windows there were 16 items.
    all seem legit but one is C:VMT0001\runApp.exe ???

    ANY ideas/ thoughts appreciated.........Thanks! Monk

    Are you sure of the spelling of that file? I'm unable to find any information on it.

    Can you go into the C:\Vmt0001 directory in Windows Explorer and see if there are any .INF or .SYS files? It sounds like a driver files directory.

    Did you find that link in the Startup group in the Start Menu or in the registry?

    startup group.

    its a david base access tips.
    disabled it and there was no change in resources

    Its from an Access site called David base.
    It shows access tips at startup.
    I have disabled it but it makes no difference
    Any other thoughts or thing to try

    HI,

    there are some automatic startup process running .

    first u have to disable all,
    go to>start and run > type msconfig and enter

    go to startup options at the last and disable all.
    restart ur system check it out now.
