I installed the Lord of the Rings game on my sons computer. When you run the game it will give the error, "error attaching to d3d8.dll" I downloaded the dll and then placed it in the system file like the read me file said. Please help.

I downloaded the directx 9.0 and tried to install. Now it gives me a message saying that it cannot find the files for directx, and tells me to check the network connection. This computer is not hooked up to a network, or the internet. I downloaded directx to a disk and initialized the program from the disk. AAARRRGGG!!!! This is getting frustrating. Please help.

Usually you have to be connected to the net to install. It downloads the starter then gets the rest from MS. You should save to the hd not a disk.
