Replicating server - see details

Hi all

Got a win 2000 SP4 server which has active directory with users set, DNS, DHCP etc set and has a slave drive which holds all user data. Data [system state and user data] is being backed up on an external USB (F drive using NTBACKUP:

In simple words:

C:\ Holds OS, AD, system state etc
D:\ User data
F:\ Backup of drives C and D

Both drives are on a RAID 1 array. Now I would like to replicate the functions of this server to another computer which has no RAID. I thought of installing the same windows version on this computer, join it with the domain so that the AD replicates and then just restore the data from drive F: onto this computer.

Would that make sense?
