How do I install messenger when I keep getting an error message that access is denied?
I don't know much about computers. My old computer had windows XP and I had no promblems, when I signed up for Windows Live I didn't have to install anything. I hope you can help a newbie like me. Thanks, Connie Jameson

From the system requirements page:

Operating system: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (32-bit edition only), Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit editions), Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit editions), or Windows Server 2008.

There is no support for Windows 2000. Try MSN Messenger 7.0. Note that this version is over 2.5 years old so, although it is still available, they might not allow connections from it.
