    WeLcome to D-A-L,

You may have corrupted or missing .dll files on your Windows '98 OS. It is quite acceptable to borrow an OS CD for this purpose. Run sfc /scannow here to check.

Post back if you need more assistance.

    kind regards,

Man sfc is one of the best tool for replacing the corrupted file. SFC is inbuild in win98. first i suggest you to download corrupted file from internet. which you can get easily by searching on internet. Then go to run type SFC and try to replace old files. This will definitely will work for you.

    WRONG!!!!
That is a big security risk because that system file might have been written or modified by a hacker to spy on you or do other bad stuff so DO NOT under any circumstance download system files from just anywhere on the internet. Only get them from Microsoft. Another yet subtitle problem with this is that you might not be replacing the corrupt file. Just because you get an error involving a system file doesn't mean that the file listed in the error is the problematic file or is the only problematic file but the problem could be with a system file that calls said file.
