    Question Cursor Blinking...

Why is my cursor blinking? I have WinMe....but I have heard that it is unstable. I have an old Win 98 disk w/ boot floppy and I have considered formatting my hard drive and installing 98. The downloads are the same.

Depending on your computer specs. Now may be a good time to learn Linux as Windows 98 and ME are unsupported as far as I know. Could be mistaken though. Dan Penny is the resident Windows ME and Windows 98 expert here. He might weigh in on this thread.
    The downloads are the same.
Not sure what you mean by that statement.

    Hi AliveAndKickin

When you say " It has XP."

Have you now updated from ME to XP?

Could you go to run and type devmgmt.msc

In that window go to Mice and other pointing devices
and click on the plus along side it.
What is the name of your mouse in that menu?
If your mouse is called Microsoft Mouse (intellipoint)
Could you right click on it and select Update Driver
If the driver updates do a restart.
Now is your mouse working OK.
If your Mice and other pointing devices
As another name could you post back with that name

    Jim

Usually a blinking mouse indicates a need for a new battery. Change it and see what happens.
