I am wondering if I would be able to download the software that my computer came with myself. I live on a very tight budget and I need to get my software files re-downloaded into my coputer because this is what the DELL tech support told me is wrong with my computer. I don't know exactly how the files were erased or corrupted which ever the case may be, but if I could learn how to repair my own computer then operating it and keeping the programs on board will be much easier for me and the computer as well.

Did your machine come with any media? (CD's, floppies, etc.)

Did you obtain the machine from Dell, or a second or third party?

What is the exact model number of the Dell machine? (Look for a sticker on either the back, side, or bottom of the machine.)

What is the machines Serial Number?

Is there a Service Tag number?

Since you posted in the Windows 95/98/ME forum, I assume your O/S is one of these. Which is it? 95, 98(FE), 98SE, or ME?
