Problems with Scanning

    Unhappy Problems with Scanning

    Hello, Our office has an HPLaserjet 1400mfp scanner/printer, and we use the most updated version of digital sending software, Version 4.11.11. Our scans are sent to a shared drive, and each of us access them from there. Here is our problem: sometimes when we scan, the document fails to show up in our folder, or anywhere else for that matter. It appears to be random. For instance, yesterday I scanned 7 separate docs at the same time, and 2 of them did not show up anywhere. I contacted HP support, and they think our Trend Anti-virus program may be causing the problem. They suggested I disable the anti-virus to see if that helps. However, when I checked the Trend logs, there is no indication of scanning errors. Does anyone have any suggestions, or have heard of a similar problem? Thanks so much. Laura Hayden

    Sorry for the delay. I must have missed your posting in the "New Posts" email notification. I was just checking the forums and found it.

    If you're still having this problem;

    I contacted HP support, and they ..... suggested I disable the anti-virus to see if that helps.
    Did you disable the anti-virus and attempt to duplicate the problem?

    If so, did the "error" occur again?

    Thanks for responding, Dan. Yes, I disabled the anti-virus, and we still had the problem. Yesterday our computer tech came out, and uninstalled the digital sending software from the computer it was on (an older one), and installed it on our new server. I think it's his last ditch effort to try to fix the problem. So far so good, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. But we won't know until we have a lot of scanning needing to be done. Laura
