I just installed a sound card in my computer. drivers are installed properly, everything is properly functioning. My mixer shows sound level changing when audio is playing. however, no audio is coming from my speakers. the speakers are plugged in the correct jack on the card.

If there is onboard sound on the motherboard, is it disabled in the bios?

no onboard audio.

Well then it must be connections, or mixer (sndvol32.exe) settings.

Is WAV showing in the (Windows) Mixer?

Have you checked the sound cards (software) Mixer?
