Windows Explorer: Double Click Prints Documents (Not Open)

A few days ago, as I usually do to open a document, I double-clicked the file icon in Windows Explorer (File Manager). However, instead of opening the document, it printed it!

I right clicked the mouse, and discovered that the "Print" menu item was bolded (and in the top position), while the "Open" menu item was in regular font, and below the "Print" menu item. Is this a virus? Or, did I accidently change the double click option? If so, how can I change it back to opening the document when I double click the icon?

    Thanks.

Open My Computer or Windows Explorer. On the Menu Bar, click on TOOLS, then FOLDER OPTIONS. Click on FILE TYPES. Scroll down to the file type (extension) that you wish to alter. In the "Details for 'xxx' extension", click on CHANGE. A window will pop up asking what program you want to open this extension with. Choose appropriately.

If the above fails, in that FILE TYPES window ("Details for 'xxx' extension"), click ADVANCED. From there you should be able to make changes. If there is no "open" listed, choose NEW, type in "open", and browse to the application you want to open the file, then exit out.

You may have to restart for the changes to take effect.
