hey, nobody seems to have used this forum for a while and no wonder at it but i need some help for my mum!!

shes been given a pc and it runs on windows 98 edition 2, ive mnaged to instal sp1 and all the security updates i could find but shes not running any anti virus software. I tried to download lavasoft (tried and tested by everyone i know, including me!) but it wont instal because it needs sp2 to run it. I tried to download it using windows microsoft update page but it wont let me. Im not sure if its because microsoft wont make it available because they no longer support windows 98 or if its because the pc wont take it!!

Any ideas?? will windows 98 support sp2? if yes where can i find it? or if not any ideas on download anti virus for windows 98??

any help will be greatly recieved as ive spent hours on it today and its driving me nuts!!!!

Lavasoft makes anti-adware products, not anti-virus.
