    Resolution Help........

    Hi ,

I switched my computer on today to find that the colour/display settings had changed the resolution had changed to 640 x 480 and colour to '16 colours' . I tried to change this and its said 'you need to restart your computer.....blah ...blah' and i did .But nothing changed. I have tried to get an update for the graphics driver (in device manager etc.) but it said something along the lines of 'You are using the most up to date version'.

I am really stuck now. My driver is intel(r) 82810 graphics controller (well i think anyway :/) If this helps.

    Please, can anyone help me?

Download Aida32 from my signature, run it and under computer/summary it will list the display stats. Post back, then we can work out exactly which one you need.

I have experienced this problem before and I find that reloading your video card drivers does the trick for me. No idea if it will work for you but good luck!

That sounds right Icecold - that would mean you're running an Intel 810 chipset with on-board graphics - these are very common.

Tassie Devil is right though - computer components can have so many different variations and versions that you need to run Aida32 to know EXACTLY what's in there
