Ok well... I want to get a computer to get online on the regular internet and not on the intranet thing...i'm not really that good with 98..So I was hoping someone can help me with this...

Do you have an ISP (Internet Service Provider)? (AOL etc)

Are you running 98FE (First Edition) or 98SE (Second Edition)? (Right click on My Computer and choose Properties.) On the General screen, under System, it will list Second Edition if you have it. Also the date/time stamp on the majority of system files will be;

98FE = 11/24/1998 8:02 AM

98SE = 4/23/1999 10:22 PM

How do you plan on connecting? (Dial-Up via a modem, LAN - ADSL or Cable?)
