Rip the Guts out!
I am having quite a few problems with my computer and want to rip the guts out and start again. I have printed off the copy on how to format the computer for win98SE and I now have a question. I have 2 harddrives C, the master and D the slave, I want to format the c drive, but there are a couple of things I would like to keep, songs, documents, game saves is It possible to put everything on the d drive and format the c and NOT lose any thing from the d drive? thanks
Cheers
Dan

Yes Dan that will work so long as C: and D: are two separate drives in the PC - make sure D IS NOT A PARTITION of C.
When you type format c: that will erase all data on the physical drive c: but will not affect the physical drive d: allowing you to keep your documents etc on the D: drive whilst you format your system. As always though you should have backups on CD or Disk of all important information.
