Ive got an old toshiba 230CX with windows 98.when i turn it on it comes up with startup menu and warning:windows did not finish loading ect.Or it comes up with something like c:\windows\command\ country\sys error on config sys file line 1 and2 bla bla bla.at the begging it says toshiba vidio bios v2.80.No idea how to fixit anay one help please

If you can get to a MSDOS command prompt via the Startup Menu, (or a Win98SE Boot Disk ) type in ren c:\config.sys config.ysy. You really don't need the c:\config.sys or c:\autoexec.bat files unless you're working in pure DOS.

you should also clear out the autoexec.bat file on your c drive... open it with notepad..
them insert "rem" at the begining of each line to comment the instrutions..
save the file and close
most windows apps today do not need to load anything here..
Please note: if some hardware stops working... then take out the rem comments..
