I recently had my computer worked on and now I can't boot up completely.
I get past scan disc checking drive C for errors followed by a blank screen with an "-" in the upper left hand corner that flashes.

who worked on the PC?

what did they do?

did they test it?

can you hear the hard drive spinning?

I got my computer to boot up, but now I have another problem. I don't think my computer recognizes my cordless mouse, as I can't find my cursor and I get a window asking if I want to update my Virucide program, and I can't get rid of it. So I can't do anything else on that computer.

Have you got a corded mouse, when your PC was repaired they may have removed the drivers for the cordless mouse
