Cannot Boot

    Hi
    This is my friends computer I have it conected here by me trying to get it to work right ,all the computer does is start up and says invalid system disk
    replace the disk, and press any key. I HAVE TRYED all the disks we have none help. THANK YOU CHESTER BURCHETT

    Just to clarify:

    Is this the Cam issue? Are you caribbeandiva?

    EDIT: THREAD SPLIT:

    That error on start up indicates the BIOS cannot find the hard drive or any other bootable medium (disk).

    Was the computer working previously? Does it work if you disconnect the Cam?

    Yes The Computer Was Work Previously We Do Not Know What Caused It To Stop Working. Like I Said We Are New At The Computer, Don't Know What You Nean By Cam? Chester

    Is this connected to your problem or is your's a different issue i.e. '98 won't boot?

    OK ... assuming that this is a separate issue:

    1. What is the make and model of the computer?

    2. What is the Operating System? 98? 98se? ME?

    3. Do you have a CD labeled Microsoft 98? 98se? ME?

    4. a): Unplug the machine from the wall.

    b): Hold the power button in for a full minute.

    c): Replug into the wall and try to start again.

    What happens?
