    Angry HELP with Printer

Please please help, I have Windows 98SE and have recently purchased a new Brother DCP-120C Printer. This printer has a USB cable and I am having trouble printing. The printer starts to print and then after a minute or less a message comes up on the screen with the heading Printers Folder then Quote "There was an error writing to BRUSB: for the Printer (Brother DCP-120C USB): The Printer is not ready. Make sure it is turned on and online. To continue printing, click retry. Windows will automatically retry after 5 seconds" unquote. It never continues to print and so I have to cancel. I have had Windows 98SE uninstalled and reinstalled again and still it does not work. I have also had other USB ports installed in my computer and a new top quality USB cable to replace the other one. Still the same problem. I never had any problem with my old printer, but the connection was the older type with lots of pins on it. I just thought I would update with this new one as it is a 3 in 1, (photo, scanner and copier). It can be used without the computer, but I would not be able to use all the other facilities if it was not connected to the computer. I am now deperate.

Do you have problems with any other USB devices?

    98SE is a supported O/S. ( http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/printer...097220p,00.htm ) Have you tried reinstalling the printer software/drivers?
