Hi,

I have win98. 1.2 g speed 384 RAM ( Yes a strange number) 20 gig HD
I have at least 4/5 of hard drive free.

I am having program with a program called turbo lister one. It is a Ebay program to list your items for sell on their site. I have used it for years. Then one day it simple would not load. Contacted them and they said I had to uninstall and down load the program again. We have done that several times and no luck.

Finally, I had a computer savy person down load the program in its full version and we installed it on my computer again. No luck. It simple will launch from the desk top icon or even from the exe command in the program itself.

We have run norton untilities and fixed all problems. I have defrag, etc.
We have follow all the instructions from the ebay techs. No Luck

So, I took the cd download program to my house and load it straight on my computer at home. It loaded fine an launch. So, the problems seems to be with my computer.

My other progams on my computer will all launch from their respective icons on the desk top. So, we are mystified. What could stopping this program from launching on my computer?

James, this is a tricky one, but does the program require permission to get through your firewall that you have unknowingly blocked?

I run on Kerio firewall, and have had this happen, and have to place the program manually in the HIPS to allow it access; then the program is question will execute.

Please check if it requires permission, and if so, has the permission been granted.

Lets hope we can get somewhere to solving this.

Thanks so much. But, I have no fire wall. Dumb but true.
I took the same program home on the same CD and it loaded on my WINXP.

Today I have been informed that the program that is now designed for WINXP will run on Win98. I and trying that to see if it will launch.

There has to be something in my computer that will not allow this program to launch..........thanks for any help........James

No Firewall??? :armed:
James, please, please get a firewall??????? Zone Alarm, Kerio, both offer free firewalls.

But James, you CAN be hacked or hijacked unless you put a firewall in place, and when you get a nice bill for a lot of $$$$$$$$$$ you will wish you had put a firewall on your PC.
