I have some mp3 files I downloaded and burned to a cd. However, now I cannot get rid of them. When I click on them (right or left) a second time I get a ping noise. When I try to delete them to the waste basket, I get a message to verify the file path. I tried shredding them with Norton's Wipe Info and with the shredder of SpyBot but theywon't shred.

When I tried to rename the files, I also get the ping sound and nothing else will happen.

HELP? Never had this kind of problem before. My computer is free of any virus, worm, spyware, etc.

I have a Win2000 sp4 operating system.
