Stop Error Cx000021a Win 2000 Server Won't Boot...
I was updating a program that resides on one of our servers - our MSSQL server running Win 2000 server. Installation was completed and upon finishing with reboot, logged user was not disconnected properly and system hung up. After hard boot of system receive BSOD and error cx000021a Logon process system process terminated unexpectedly...System proceeds to reboot and continue the cycle over and over. All other windows start up options have been tried and do not help - i.e. safe mode, last known good configuration... I would love to use the Emergency Rescue Disks (ERD) to correct the error (believing it is now corruption in the winlogon.exe or lsass.exe file), but I don't know if any were created or kept. Have the WIN 2000 Server disk (took a while to find), but need 3rd part SCSI controller drivers for Windows 2000 ASR (Active System Recovery) RC (Recovery Console), or even to reinstall Windows 2000 server if I got to that point. Any ideas on any workarounds, keeping in mind I am lacking the resources that I am (in terms of software)?
Many Thanks.
