I hope someone can help me because I'm pretty much illiterate when it comes to my computer. Other than e-mail and the simplest things, I'm clueless. My nine year old knows more than I do and he's stumped on this one. He and his friend were the last ones on the computer and he swears he doesn't know how it happened but now my start menu is in the upper right hand corner of the screen and the taskbar goes down the entire right hand side as well. However, the "quick launch" icons are at the bottom of the screen in a whole separate window that is dragged to the bottom. Does that make sense? How do I fix this? I've tried all of the obvious things, like trying to drag it back, but nothing is working. Help!!!

Try this. I understand I am using xp however it still should work the same.



Assuming your taskbar looks like this:




Right Click on the taskbar and click Lock the Taskbar as shown below:



After doing that then try to drag the taskbar down to the bottom. If this does not work please let me know.
