A gateway 2000, eh? My friend had one of those, and if I remember correctly, it was very old. 16 MB of RAM, ~100Mhz...

I suggest buying a new computer.

But if you are not ready for a new computer, get Windows 98 SE. Looked on ebay, and found this Windows 98 SE set, for only $40 with "Buy it now."
