hi, i found some stuff on windows file protection and i looked at the logs. i found some erros and next to it was written CRITICAL!

here are the errors i found

CRITICAL: [08/18/2005 21:51:20:980] SFP cannot restore file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IEPEERS.DLL back. Original file has invalid version 6.0.2800.1106

now i tryed doing seaches for it, but i didnt find anything that i understoon and helped me. was wondering if anyone knew anything about this... also i dont know if these are causing my shutdown erros. thanks!

Fade, try following the instructions on this site. They are quite detailed, but very well explained.

"If" this fails, I feel that you are looking at an FDISK. In fact, you have many errors and things going wrong that it sounds close to FDISK time.

I would back up data at this point and prepare to clean your system out. WinME is a terribly unstable system, and yes, missing or corrupt files could definitely cause your system to have all manner of errors.

If you had a complete clean install, then it would give a good idea as to what is going on with your hardware, if anything.
