i still get windows protection error idk what that means

but i tried some of them
this doesnt happen when i start my computer and shut it down with in a few mintues. this happens when my comps on for a while.
and its nothing that loads up with my computer
i even unstailled norton anti virus. i have EZ now.

now when i click on shut down, it goes and then it takes a while. i click control alt delete and there are FOUR programs still running..

they were
isafe
vetmsg
ycommon (i THINK)
and then somethin glike RUNDL32
now the rundl32 isnt on my contrl atl delete thing now.
any ideas?

That sounds like a overheating issue! It happened on my old laptop as well.

really? it is sorta hot here. i did look something up on microsoft.com. it gave me instructions on how to reinstall rundll32 but i cound find
system file checker on my computer. i dont kno what to do...

Fade, go to run and type sfc /scannow

There is a space between the c and the /

Hope that helps, but it does sound like your PC is overheating....

thanks for trying to help but that doesnt work it says check spelling and try agian. what is it for?
idk bout over heating. last time it over heated my computer just wouldnt start

Fade, I'd try a "repair" install of WinME. Just boot off your Windows CD and repair the system, update at M$oft after. Follow system prompts.


I am hoping you have made sure you have no virus or adware on your system, might not hurt to check and double check. .....

lol yeah i checked. im going to do the reapir of windows me in a day or 2. got work and stuff lol!
umm lets see there was one more thing. in PAINT i cant save anything as JPEG that option is not there

dam i didnt realize how crapy ur comp is with out some programs. lol
