Bought a new HP PSC 1200. Cannot get it to work. Contacted HP by e-mail and phone and have spent the last two days trying to get it ,but nothing yet.It installs perfectly and shows the icon that says the printer is ready, but when you try to print a yellow box with a black exclaimation point comes up and ,says it is disconnected.Also have a STimon error "Stimon caused an invalid page fault in module HPGTPUSD.DLL at 0167:10008b07. I'm fairly new at all this can anyone HELP!!!!!!Operating System Windows 98

try reinstlaling the printer i don't think it installed fully that dll is a reqireed file that it cannot find and it need sot run if reinstalling doens't work u shoudl look up the file on the internet to find a download

Best bet is to go to the HP site and download the latest driver for 98. Most of the cds that come with the printer are outdated.

Tried that-10 hours download time.emailed hp and found out how to get rid of stimon error.printer now shows ready but when I put a print job in it ,in the status box it says user interve or printer initilizing.When I put the computer online the yellow box with the black exclaimation point comes up and the staus goes back to disconnect.Once I got a message that said error STICPL.CPL.It seems to have several problems.thanks for the suggestion If you have anymore ideas PLEASE let me know.This is driving me crazy.

If you go to your control panel, have a look under scanners and cameras and see if the printer is mentioned there as it is a scanner as well.
