Bogus Atl.dll error won't go away

Hi, I have an annoying error in my computer that is running 98SE, when I click or right click on most any icon (.doc file, etc.) it gives me a bogus error:

Can Not Run Unicode Version of Atl.dll on Win 95
    Please Install the Correct Version

I am not running 95 and I was unable to get relief from any of the fixes on the web. Too many people assume that something works with 98 because, well, because nothing, and the fixes are often wrong. This is also probably how I got into this mess, installing multiple freeware 3gp-to-AVI converters on my business box (because the short videos were inventory records) instead of my media/nonsense box, none of them worked because the authors never tested them on 98 and they all gave fake errors like "not enough memory" and at least two of them would not uninstall from the computer after failing. I had been forced into a download of MS runtime whatever, and I mistakenly said yesyesyesyes when the uninstalls asked me to remove something, and I think something in there shot my ATL.DLL file.

Please give me a fix for this if you can. Thank you.

Sorry to reply to my own thread and sorry to disturb in the first place!

I just found the fix, it takes two minutes and here it is:

Insert your Win98 CD rom in your drive.

Select Start/Run, type SFC in the 'Open' box and press enter.

When System File Checker opens, select 'Extract One File
    from installation disk'.

Now enter ATL.DLL in the search box and press enter.

When the 'Extract File' window opens, the 'Restore From' box should be set to your
CD rom drive letter as X:\Win98.

The 'Save file in:' box should read
    C:\Windows\System.

Now select 'OK' and follow the prompts.
