I was uninstalling some programs that I no longer use earlier when one of uninstalls made my computer restart in VGA mode. I have tried changing it back to normal in the startup menu but it just stays the same, as if its stuck in safe mode. Can someone please help me?

Click Start, and click Run.
In the Open box, type msconfig and click OK.
On the General tab, click Advanced.
Untick the VGA 640x480x16 option.
Click OK, and click OK again.

You will be prompted to restart your computer. When the computer restarts, you will be in normal video mode.

I took your advise and strangly enough it was already untinked so now I'm at a loss as to whats wrong, my screen is coming up as if its in safe mode but without the little safe mode text bits in the corners. Do you know whats wrong with it?

Have you tried control panel/display/settings and checked the settings there, it should be set at 800x600 or larger.
