I have system freezes quite freqently when online. I am usually online and have accessed different sites/pages with some graphics or flash, when this happens.
I took the advise and turned my performance in graphics acceleration to none in the properties of MyComputer, and this helps. But what is the fix? Do I have to buy a new graphics card?
Turning the acceleration to none has slowed my computer down.
Any suggestions?

How much ram do you have, what processor and video card?

96MB ram
AMD-K6 (tm) 3D processor
Indeo Video 5.04? not sure if this is right. How do i see information on video card?

Download Aida32 from my signature and run it. Click on the + beside computer and click on summary, it will tell you most of the stuff you need. Let us know what the graphics etc is.
96mb ram isn't a lot these days as most of the programs etc are fairly hungry for memory so more ram will help.
Have you gotten all the IE updates?

Yes I know i have a older system , and i should have all the updates for IE, but will goto MSN to be sure.

Adia32 says it is for other verisons XP, etc.--still download/run? I did see some other freebies on the site you linked me to for freezing fixes though. I did not dl or do them. Will keep to your advice if you still say dl the 32.

I am not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but sometimes during shutdown of windows i get the message of 3cmlnkw illegal op error.

Aida32 Operating System(s):Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 9.x
The 9.x means 95, 98 etc so it will work on yours.
Do you have a virus program, if not go to trendmicro in my sig and run that too.

tried to dl and run the Aida32...and since my zip prog says its signature is outdated, it will not let me run 32.

still having problems with shutdown of windows... gives error of same kind. i am not having a freezing problem like i did since i changed to none--as stated in first post.
