Go to http://www.3com.com and download the latest drivers for your 56k v92 3Com Winmodem. You might even be able to download the correct fax software from there as well.

Hi Friend,
Ask a hardware dealer to check whether the CPU fan status . U could be having a freeze due to a non working fan which could be heating up the processor which in turn to protect the board being affected, freezes ur machine. This in most cases is the cause of this problem.
