Sorry for such a slow response. You need to empty your Recycle Bin. Do you have a 'Recycle Bin' icon on your desktop or in Windows Explorer? If so, right-click it and select the 'Empty Recycle Bin' option from the menu.

    DJ..

Thank you for your response. I did do a lot of cleaning house and All is well at this time. I know th ereponse was sloooow. But I also know that there must be a billion people out there who need online assistance, especially when we do not know what we are doing. Any way, the things I learn on here are great. I need a computer for work, I am not in IT profession. But if one does not know how th react to the computer telling us something, my work will stop.

I did not even know that I had a "read only" cd drive. Did I feel dumb, Here I am trying to figure out why I can't back up info to make room on th edrive.

Well, I now have a cd/r.w to install , hopefully things will go smooth.

Thanks for the help. This site is certainly appreciated.
