I'm a bit of a biff when it comes to computers so I'm hoping someone could help.

Basically the whole computer feezes usually when you click on an active button ie when you click the register button when yofirst log on to here. This can last from anything from a few seconds to longer. It also occurs when typing an e-mail it will stop typing when you don't realise and then restart leaving you with missing and mis-spelt words. I've got windows Me if thats any use to anyone.

Sounds like you might be infected with some type of Malware,Virus,Etc.... Do you run a Firewall, Antispyware, Antivrus Software and if so have you run complete scans to see if computer is infected. If so you might want to post in Spyware,Adware,and Highjack this Log and follow the instructions on the Sticky notes. Also please post your computer specs,And what antivirul software ,firewall,and spyware that your'e running.

How much RAM is in the machine?

If Desktop, is the onboard display adapter being used, or an add on display card? (PCI/AGP)

Is this a proprietary machine? (ie; Brand_Name - Gateway, Dell, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Lenovo, Compaq, etc.) If it is, please post the make, and the exact model number. If there is a Service Tag, post this info as well.

If the machine is a custom built, what is the make and model/rev of the motherboard?

Has anyone made any adjustments to Virtual Memory or is Windows handling/managing it.

How much free space is there on the hard disk?
