I work on a off-line computer at win98se
I just received a series of 6 documents scanned in .tiff. 3 of them at about 60 kb, 3 others very large, about 1.5 Mb
When tried to open the large file with a graphic program the computer stopped for a long time. After reboot all files disappeared from the folder (also the smaller ones) and I cannot find them in any place on my computer.
Is it possible to reconstruct the documents and how?

You could use a Recovery tool to try and Recover the file such as this one.
