I have been trying to help a friend (without success) who is having problems with receiving email in Outlook. 95% of his incoming emails end up in his servers email inbox (in this case Tiscali). The exceptions strangely enough are those emails sent from Tiscali which end up in his Outlook Express inbox. Ideally we would like all his email to be received in Outlook Express (which is set up as the default mailbox) as it is easier to control and segregate Spam etc.

We have tried with the firewall and virus protection disabled but this has not helped. He is using Windows XP.

Would be grateful for any other suggestions as this has been frustrating us for a long time!

I think we may have already gone through this routine but I will try it again as per your guidelines when I am next at my mate's house later this week and let you know the outcome.

You may find a server, port, etc is incorrect in the setups. If everything is set up correctly, any mail coming in to Tiscali should be routed to the local machines Outlook Express when you open OE and click "Send/Receive".
