Incorrect Password

    Question Incorrect Password

    Please help!!! I have some how managed to put a password on my daughters computer, Once i had put the password on it said to change settings your computer will re start itself, Which it did, Now when the computer starts up it asks me for the password so i put the password in and it says that its not the right password, so we can't get onto anyhting on the computer!! Haven't got a clue wot to do and have a very unhappy 6 yr old!!!!!

    Are you talking about a Windows password or BIOS? Your only option is for a clean install if it is a Windows login password seeing we don't help bypass passwords here.

    Its a windows password, As soon as you put the computer on it asks for your password. Help!!

    Try booting into safemode. Type Admin for User and leave the password blank.

    Bear's reply is the best we can do.

    The main admin account should not be affected and the 'blank' password should work.

    Otherwise a reinstall would be in order or perhaps a Google search.

    As we can offer no further help on this issue I am closing this thread.
