My "Gateway" Operating Backup System CD is damaged. Can not reload Win 98 se into my PC with it (PC crashed, causing this). Is there anyplace I can optain a CD or Download. Gateway no longer has it available.

You can try some of the "auction" sites on the web. (For lack of a better word, I never go to these.)

There is a D-A-L trader link here on this site which I believe may handle this kind of thing. The words "Ebay" and "NewEgg" also come to mind, but again, I'm not sure.

You can probably find a 98SE CD for a few dollars.

Have you considered "upgrading" your O/S to XP? 98 is nine years old and finding updates/compatable programs is becoming more problematic as time goes by.
