Delete Windows 98 from computer with Windows 2000 Pro.

I've been given a used computer. its about 6 yrs old, a Pentium 3.

It has Windows 2000 Pro. Must have been on Windows 98 and upgraded cause I can still see the Windows 98 Program listed which is taking a fair amount of space.

I had Windows 98 on my older computer. Transfered all files OK.
Can I go ahead and delete Windows 98 ?

Would no harm be done so all works OK ?

    Many Thanks.

    Bill.

    Hi TDC

How was you thinking of deleting Windows 98 ? because hardware devices that have been marked as disabled in Device Manager in Microsoft Windows 98 may be enabled when your Computer was upgrade to Windows 2000.

By "program", do you mean the O/S (Operating System), as in a dual boot system configuration?
