I have an old computer that sometimes functions crazy but for the most part has done pretty well. Recently, it now will get on to my MSN homepage for internet quickly, but when I type in a new web address, it freezes up and goes really slowly. What gives? Also, sometimes it will not show certain advertisements / pics on a webpage and shows them as little red x's with a box around them. Can you tell me what is going on? Is my computer on the outs? Thanks!

What AV are you running?

What Firewall are you running?

What spyware/malware programs?

All of the above elements will cause slowdowns as they "check" everything "in & out".

Besides the above elements, what is set to run on Startup?
