I have been given an old toshiba satellite laptop with win98 disc and asked if i can wave my magic wand over it...when i switch it on it automatically goes to the c:\ prompt where do i go from here?? (sorry for the dumb question!)
i have tried typing a: b: but get a message saying "not ready reading drive a/b"
abort,retry,fail?

Try typing windows, so it should look like this C:\windows Let us know how it goes.
